United Patriotic Bodies Meeting
25 August 08 – Minutes

Meeting called to order by Commander Richardson at 1700 hours.
Present were Kathy Handy, Peggy Rasch, Ed Milligan, Bob Jacobson, Ron Durand, Mark Wagermann, Jim Haukedahl, Terri Schwartz.

Motion was made by Milligan seconded by Handy to accept the minutes of the July meeting. Motion carried.

Treasures report given by email: Regular checking account $2711.89. Special account $15,766.56. Donation to the special account were made by AMVETS $400.00; DAV $500.00. Rasch made a motion to accept the treasures report. Second was made by Jacobson. Motion carried.

Discussion was held on Military appreciation night; with the suggestion that if the league is in existence next year, we have Canadian flag on hand, if we play Winnipeg.

Veterans Day parade to start at the Veterans Memorial bridge ad 1030 hours, if the bridge sign is here. Possible wreath laying in the red River prior to the start of the parade. Exact parade route to Veterans Memorial auditorium to be determined later. Commander Richardson will be getting permit from the Fargo PD. Flag raising will be at 1100 hours. Milligan will talk to ND Guard Adjutant about getting a helicopter fly over by the Bismarck Guard unit.

Election of new officer postponed until the next meeting.

Next meeting will be 27 Oct 2008 at 1900 hours at the Teamsters.

Motion by Milligan seconded by Rasch to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 1932.
