Meeting called to order by Commander Terry Richardson at 1900.
Pledge of Allegiance.

Members Present: Terry Richardson, Mark Wagemann (Fargo VFW), Ron Matthews (Fargo Legion), Bob Hanson, Ed Milligan (DAV), Jim Haukedahl (DAV), Bob Jacobson (SubVets).

Minutes of 23 July read and approved, Wagemann/Matthews, Approved.

Treasurer absent, at National American Legion Convention. Bob Jacobson received the $300 remaining on the Redhawks Jersey Auction to pass along to Bob Long, treasurer.

The bids for the bridge signs was discussed. A bid from Granites Unlimited/Custom Graphics for $27,337.00 was accepted pending final discussion with bidders and bid signing by Terry Richardson and Ed Milligan. It was noted the sign should be smooth surface on both front and back. Milligan/Wagemann, Approved.

The need for Color Guards at the airport on return of the second group of Honor Flight veterans was brought up. Groups represented volunteered.

Veterans Day will be observed on Sunday Nov. 11. Mark Wagemann will be MC and Bob Jacobson will be the speaker.

VA Stand down went well.

Military Night at the Horse Track was probably last weekend. Vets were half price.

No sound ideas for the source of a Tank for Esmond, ND.

Presentation of The War by PPTV was noted. A reception for veterans is Sep. 13 at the Fargo Air Museum from 7-9 pm. PPTV was looking for $3000 to help fund this seven-part broadcast.

The National POW/MIA Recognition program at the VA will be Friday, 21 Sep. at 10 am in the 3rd floor Lounge.

The 2nd Annual Military Appreciation Ball will be held 6 Oct. at the Fargo American Legion. Tickets are available fro $55 a couple/$30 for single.

Oct. 15 set for next meeting at Fargo Legion, 7:00pm. Terry will notify by email if a meeting is needed pending Bridge Bid meeting outcome.
